Five months earlier I could not stand or sit for more than 10 minutes without pain. Bending over was not even an option for me. I had injured my SI joint one whole year before and had visited no less than 3 physical therapy outfits for extended periods of time.
It was not until I met Mark Wurster through Dr. Handel that I saw a glimmer of hope that I would be able to ride my bike ever again. Starting with heat and stretches and a good deal of hands on therapy, I was then able to do the exercises that he taught me to do to free up first the joints then loosen up the muscles and finally start strengthening them.
It was really hard work but Mark was compassionate. With his charming manner and encouragement going to appointments was something to look forward to, especially since I always felt great afterwards.
Meeting my goal of getting up on my bike in time for the Bristol parade was such a high for me that shortly after Bristol I flew to Milwaukee WN to meet 36 other highwheelers to ride in the Ringling Brother’s Barnum and Bailey Great Circus Parade. I was not only up on my bike and riding but riding with the best!

met Mark Wurster more than 8 years ago. I saw him for therapy after a
total right hip replacement. His examination and treatment was
outstanding. I hated seeing him but it was the best thing I have ever
done. He brought me back physically to a point where I was before my
first replacement. I was reintroduced to his office to see an
associate of his, Elizabeth Andrews, for treatment of benign Vertigo.
